Regarding information about the restaurant "ripping off" 700,000 VND/7 boxes of rice published by Lao Dong Newspaper on July 6, on the afternoon of July 7, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team, including: Economic and Infrastructure Department; Police; Market Management, To Hieu Ward Medical Center conducted a surprise inspection of the above business establishment.
At the inspection, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy - the owner of the establishment - said: The restaurant does not sell boxed rice but only sells rice on the tray placed in the restaurant. On July 5, when the incident occurred, Ms. Thuy was not at the business establishment, the sales staff discussed with customers that the restaurant did not sell boxed rice. However, according to the customer's request, the staff prepared 7 meals but did not inform the customer about the price of each meal.
When paying the staff 700,000 VND/7 boxes of rice, the buyer had no opinion. The incident occurred because employees and buyers had not agreed on prices from the beginning.

After the incident, on the morning of July 6, Ms. Thuy and the staff proactively called the person directly reporting the incident on social media to explain and apologize, hoping to refund 150,000 VND but did not receive any response.
Also at the time of inspection, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy provided a menu board of the restaurant printed with A3 paper and 2 A4 paper sheets, kept in a glass cabinet, in an unsightly place, with menus and price, no price for meals or boxed meals.

The inspection team requested Ms. Thuy and the staff of the business establishment not to let similar incidents happen; list the prices of goods and services in accordance with the provisions of law; continue to comply with regulations on food safety.
