Hydropower regulates water sources to serve downstream Gia Lai in the dry season
In the dry season of 2026, An Khe - Ka Nak Hydropower Company (Gia Lai) said it is operating the reservoir in a direction of harmonizing between power generation and water supply for downstream areas. Right from the beginning of the year, water regulation has been implemented flexibly to serve agricultural production, living and people's needs.

Although the water flow to Ka Nak reservoir in May was low, averaging only 7.41m3/s and at times below 4.0m3/s, much lower than in previous years, the plant still maintained an average discharge flow to downstream of 6.33m3/s per day. The regulation is carried out in accordance with the inter-reservoir operation process on the Ba River basin.
In addition to the task of generating electricity and supplying water, An Khe - Ka Nak Hydropower Plant also coordinates with local authorities to propagate the use of electricity economically, efficiently and ensure safety in the reservoir area. See more...
Gold prices increase, stores are bustling with customers trading on the weekend

Many customers had to queue to buy gold rings, although stores limited each person to only one purchase transaction per day.
Many people decided to buy gold to accumulate when they were worried that prices would continue to increase in the near future. Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy (Bach Mai ward, Hanoi) bought 3 taels of gold rings after nearly an hour of waiting because he missed the opportunity to buy when prices had decreased before. Ms. Nguyen Thu Hoai (Hai Ba Trung ward, Hanoi) also plans to buy 2 taels of gold rings to save money and said that the number of customers is currently much larger than when gold prices fell in the middle of the week.
