Mid-Autumn cakes in Ho Chi Minh City begin to take to the streets
The 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival cake market in Ho Chi Minh City is starting to become bustling even though it is still quite early. Many kiosks have been set up on crowded streets, residential areas, near markets and supermarkets; while retail systems also proactively put products on shelves with many segments from affordable to high-end, serving the needs of buying, using and giving gifts.
Consumers tend to refer to prices, designs and offers before buying. Supermarkets are expanding their product portfolios, from traditional cakes such as mixed cakes, green beans, salted eggs to high-end cake lines, small-sized cakes serving personal needs and products sold by volume. MM Mega Market is expected to increase cake supply by about 20% compared to the same period in 2025.
This Mid-Autumn Festival also recorded a variety of flavors when businesses continuously launched new products to the market. Many diamond shops in Ho Chi Minh City close, the market needs transparency
In the An Dong market and Ben Thanh market areas, many diamond and gold and silver stores are still closed after the 28,000 diamond smuggling case. Some stores such as Kim Ly and Ngoc Tam have not had a time to resume operations, while Kim Chau and Luxury Gold & Diamond continue to temporarily suspend until further notice. Some stores have reopened after a temporary break.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Jewelry and Gems Association, some businesses are facing liquidity difficulties and have temporarily suspended operations, but this is considered a temporary situation.

Consultation on building a Fund to promote energy saving and efficiency in Da Nang
The Ministry of Industry and Trade organizes a consultation workshop on building a Fund to Promote Energy Saving and Efficiency Use, in the context of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use and the National Program on Energy Saving and Efficiency Use for the period 2019-2030 being implemented.
At the workshop, experts and researchers exchanged international and domestic experiences on the energy saving support fund model.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Lam Giang, Director of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion, the potential for energy saving in industry, construction, trade and many other fields is still very large; many businesses have proactively innovated equipment and technology to improve energy efficiency.
