Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank) has just launched a preferential deposit interest rate program for individual customers, applied from May 8 to the end of May 31, 2026 in all business centers across the country.
According to the program, customers who open new savings or term deposit accounts will enjoy a maximum preferential interest rate of 8.3-8.5%/year, depending on the deposit term. Terms from 6-11 months are applied with a maximum interest rate of 8.3%/year. 12-month and 14-month terms have an interest rate of 8.4%/year, while 15-month terms are listed at the highest level of 8.5%/year.
The program applies to products including traditional savings, Fortune savings, Choice savings and term online deposits for individual customers.
HDBank applies a special interest rate of 7.2%/year for a 12-month term and 7.6%/year for a 13-month term for customers depositing savings from 500 billion VND or more, receiving interest at the end of the term. The interest rate of 7.2%/year is applied to 12-month term savings products receiving interest at the end of the term; the rate of 7.6%/year applies for a 13-month term receiving interest at the end of the term. This policy only applies to savings cards with a minimum balance of 500 billion VND and does not apply to the form of early interest payment or periodic interest payment.
Meanwhile, Cake by VPBank is applying an interest rate of 7.2-7.4%/year for terms from 6-24 months. Notably, with the program of adding interest rates up to 1.5% being applied by the bank, the actual interest rate received can be up to 8.9%/year.
Saigonbank is currently applying an online savings interest rate for a 13-month term at 7.9%/year. This is not only the highest interest rate in this bank's list but also among the highest in the market today.
