Counterfeit goods in the digital environment
The Lam Dong market in the first 6 months of 2026 is basically stable. However, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods trading are appearing in many new and more sophisticated methods, especially in the digital environment.

According to the Steering Committee 389 of Lam Dong province, counterfeit goods trading activities are currently mainly taking place in small, scattered business establishments in the area, focusing on items such as cosmetics, food, clothing, electronic components, fertilizers and pesticides.
Notably, subjects are increasingly taking advantage of social networks, e-commerce platforms and delivery services to transact, causing difficulties for traceability and handling of violations.
According to Mr. Phan Van Tuyen - Head of Lam Dong Provincial Market Management Sub-Department, subjects often change delivery locations, impersonate delivery staff or send goods to hide activities.
When detected, goods are easily scattered, sales accounts are deleted or renamed to avoid inspection.
In the first 6 months of the year, functional forces of Lam Dong province inspected 2,065 cases, administratively fined 1,819 cases with a total amount of nearly 23.9 billion VND; prosecuted 66 cases with 93 subjects.
The market management force alone handled 720 cases, fined more than 5.7 billion VND, and confiscated goods worth over 2.2 billion VND.
Tightening management in cyberspace
According to Mr. Le Trong Yen - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 389 of Lam Dong province. According to Mr. Le Trong Yen, the work of fighting against violations in the digital environment is still limited due to unsynchronized coordination, while many Steering Committees 389 at commune level have not been effective.

Currently, only 32/124 commune-level units have sent reports on implementation results. Lam Dong is proposing to build a common data system and reporting software to improve management efficiency and promptly identify signs of violations.
In the last 6 months of the year, functional forces will focus on inspecting business activities on social networks, e-commerce platforms and sales websites; and at the same time tighten control over high-risk commodity groups such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, pesticides, electronics and essential consumer goods.
According to the Steering Committee 389 of Lam Dong province, strengthening inspections in cyberspace is a key solution to prevent smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods trading that are tending to shift to online platforms.
