On June 17, information from the Steering Committee 389 of Lang Son province said that from May 15 to June 16, 2025, the functional forces of Lang Son province discovered and handled 591 violations related to smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and infringement of intellectual property rights.
This figure increased by 34.25% compared to the previous month and nearly 6% compared to the same period in 2024.
This result was achieved thanks to the drastic implementation of Official Dispatch No. 65/CD-TTg dated May 15, 2025 of the Prime Minister on launching a peak period of fighting against smuggling and counterfeit goods. Along with that is the direction of the Provincial People's Committee to tighten inspection and control activities in the entire area.
Accordingly, the authorities have increased patrols in key areas such as border gates, trails, and border openings, where illegal goods transportation often occurs.
Domestic market management has also been promoted, focusing on products with high seasonal demand such as medicine, functional foods, consumer goods, counterfeit goods, smuggled goods and goods violating intellectual property rights.
Although the peak period has ended, the Steering Committee 389 of Lang Son province said it will continue to maintain inspection and supervision activities to prevent the recurrence of smuggling and trade fraud in the coming time.
