On June 12, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee informed that the province has approved the auction plan for mineral exploitation rights for construction materials in 2026 for 2 group II mineral mine areas.
The areas put up for auction include Lang Lanh III stone quarry in Luc Yen commune with an area of 284.04 ha and Tan Linh - Yen The stone quarry in Tan Linh commune, Luc Yen commune with an area of 31.66 ha.

These are mines that do not have exploration documents, selected for auction based on compliance with the mineral planning for construction materials for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister.
The organization of the auction aims to select organizations and individuals with sufficient capacity to carry out mineral exploration and exploitation activities; and at the same time ensure the principle of publicity, transparency, and fair competition among investors.
Through auctions, Lao Cai province aims to rationally exploit mineral resources, meet the demand for construction materials, increase budget revenue and promote the effectiveness of mineral potential in the area.
According to the plan, the auctions will be held in 2026. In case the auction is not successful, the auction organization will continue to be implemented in the following years.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over the implementation of the plan, coordinate with relevant agencies to determine the starting price, price step, deposit; select an asset auction organization and carry out procedures according to regulations.
The People's Committees of Luc Yen and Tan Linh communes are responsible for updating the mine area and auxiliary areas to the local construction plan, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
The auction of mineral exploitation rights is expected to contribute to bringing mineral resources into effective exploitation, serving the development of the province's construction materials industry in the coming time.
