On September 27, the Tax Directorate held a dialogue conference with taxpayers of 05 southern provinces and cities.

At the morning conference, chaired by Director General Mai Xuan Thanh and chaired by Deputy Directorate Mai Son, with a spirit of urgent, frank and transparent work, representatives of the leaders of the professional units under the Tax Directorate and 5 Tax Departments, including: Ho Chi Minh City, Long An, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau directly answered at the dialogue conference the questions sent to the Organizing Committee by enterprises and taxpayers.

Also attending were representatives of over 290 enterprises and taxpayers from 05 provinces and cities: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Long An, of which 80 taxpayers did not register before.

Speaking at the opening of the dialogue conference, Deputy Directorate of Tax Directorate Mai Son said that in the spirit of openness and listening, not avoiding, to grasp, exchange, answer and remove difficulties, obstacles and reflections of taxpayers in the practical implementation of tax regulations and policies.

The basic contents discussed directly by leaders of tax units with enterprises and taxpayers at the morning session included issues related to tax policies and administrative procedures such as: There were over 30 issues related to electronic invoices; There were 29 issues related to value added tax and tax refunds discussed directly at the dialogue conference.

With a determined spirit, the Tax Directorate's leaders requested the professional units under the Tax Directorate and the Tax Departments to respond and provide clear, feasible, thorough and specific solutions to ensure that they are in line with the goal that the Tax sector always aims for, which is: "Taxpayers are the center of service, truly becoming a trusted partner with taxpayers".

"In particular, in the face of serious consequences of natural disasters and epidemics, the Tax sector has promptly proposed and reported to the Ministry of Finance to submit to the Government and the National Assembly to issue many tax solutions.

At the same time, direct tax authorities at all levels to focus on implementing policies on tax, fee, and land rent exemption, reduction, and extension to support businesses and people from 2019 to present. Typically, in the first 9 months of 2024, the total amount of tax, fee, and land rent extended, exempted, and reduced is estimated at more than 102,000 billion VND" - Deputy Directorate Mai Son shared.

In addition to the contents directly answered at the dialogue conference, there are a number of groups of recommendations related to the authority of ministries, branches and policies stipulated in Laws and Decrees that have been compiled by the Organizing Committee to submit to competent authorities for consideration and coordination in resolution.

Basically, frankness, openness, thorough and clear exchange of difficulties in tax regulations and policies, in tax management of tax authorities as well as the implementation of tax obligations of people and businesses were carried out throughout the Conference.
