The authorities quickly arrived at the scene to carry out rescue work and investigate the cause.
On the morning of July 9, Mr. Dinh Vui - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tho Quang Ward (Son Tra District) - confirmed the above information and said that the authorities are actively handling the incident.
The victim was identified as Mr. Hoang Quoc T (36 years old, from Hung Yen province, currently residing in Ho Chi Minh City).

According to initial information, at around 5:00 p.m. on July 8, Mr. T and a pilot ( controller) took off from the paragliding point on the top of Son Tra mountain. Shortly after that, the parachute had an accident and fell near the foot of the mountain, close to the coast.
The accident caused Mr. T to die on the spot, and the driver was fortunately only slightly injured.
Immediately after receiving the report, the rescue forces of Da Nang City urgently approached the scene, took the victim out of the area of the accident and took necessary professional measures.
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City - said that the police are handling and investigating to clarify the cause of the accident.
It is known that paragliding activities in Son Tra are a licensed adventure tourism product, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists to participate. This incident is a warning about the need to further tighten safety regulations in sports and adventure tourism activities.
