Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee, representatives of relevant departments, branches and leaders of the Customs Branch of the XVII region.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Pham Tan Hoa said that Korean enterprises currently rank third in terms of direct investment capital in Long An. He highly appreciated the contributions of Korean enterprises to the socio-economic development of the province, especially in social security activities.

The leader of Long An Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the province is always ready to support and create the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises and investors when coming to learn and invest in Long An. At the same time, he hopes KOCHAM will continue to be a bridge to help the province attract more Korean enterprises to invest.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trung Hai - Head of the Customs Branch of the XVII region emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Customs sector and enterprises, and affirmed his commitment to accompany and support enterprises in import-export activities.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Hai said that the Department always takes people as the center of service and businesses as an important resource to promote economic development, implementing the motto "The State creates and takes businesses as the subject of service" to create trust and new motivation for the business community.

In 2025, the Customs Branch of the XVII region will focus on implementing 6 key tasks related to digital transformation. In addition, the leaders of the XVII Regional Customs also pledged to implement 6 solutions to accompany Korean enterprises.

In particular, the Department will strictly implement the directions of the Politburo and the General Secretary on reducing time and costs of administrative procedures, eliminating unnecessary business conditions; promoting the effectiveness of propaganda teams, supporting customs declarants and taxpayers; enhancing dialogues and consultations to remove difficulties, helping businesses understand and comply with customs laws; promoting the application of information technology, reducing direct contact between civil servants and businesses; coordinating information collection to serve the assessment of declaration flow; and regularly checking public service discipline, receiving feedback via hotline 24/7.

These tasks and solutions aim to build a transparent and favorable import-export environment, creating the best conditions for businesses to develop, while improving the effectiveness of state management of the Customs sector in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration.
