On December 23, 2024, the State Securities Commission (SSC) issued a Decision on administrative sanctions in the field of securities and the securities market against Vietnam Enterprise Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (address: VP24, 4th Floor, Office Area, Stellar Garden Building, No. 35 Le Van Thiem, Thanh Xuan Trung Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City).
Accordingly, the company was fined VND 65 million for late disclosure of the following documents: Audited separate and consolidated financial statements for 2023 and Annual report for 2023.
The company was also fined VND150 million for disclosing false information in its separate and consolidated financial statements for the fourth quarter of 2023. According to the separate financial statements for the fourth quarter of 2023, the company's after-tax profit in 2023 was VND54.6 million. However, according to the audited separate financial statements for 2023, the company lost VND18.9 billion.
Similarly, in the consolidated financial report for the fourth quarter of 2023, the company reported a loss of VND 2.5 billion, however, in the audited consolidated financial report for 2023, the company lost up to VND 27.3 billion.
Thus, the total amount of money that Vietnam Enterprise Investment and Development Joint Stock Company was fined is 215 million VND. In addition to the fine, the company must take remedial measures such as canceling or correcting information for the act of publishing false information according to regulations.
