Many targets achieved and exceeded the plan
On the afternoon of December 29, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province said that after 4 years of implementing the Resolution of the 16th Provincial Party Congress, the province has achieved 11/15 targets, many targets exceeding the plan. The average economic growth rate (GRDP) in the period of 2021 - 2024 reached 6.94%/year, a good level compared to the provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions.
In 2025 - the year of acceleration, the province will focus on implementing key tasks, including implementing the Provincial Planning Plan and the Thua Thien Hue Urban Master Plan, completing the Plan for preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the Hue Monuments Complex to 2030, with a vision to 2050. At the same time, speeding up the implementation of national target programs and socio-economic recovery and development programs.
The province will review and implement the goals, targets, key works and projects of the 5-year plan (2021 - 2025) to complete on schedule. The work of organizing, preparing content, personnel and conditions to ensure the Party Congresses at all levels and the 17th Hue City Party Congress (term 2025 - 2030) is also an important task in the coming time.
Quickly perfect the government system at all levels
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Thua Thien Hue province.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that although Hue is a centrally-governed city, it is necessary to recognize its true position on the national development map in order to have more drastic solutions, especially in building congress documents and goals and targets for the next term.
The National Assembly Chairman suggested that 2025 is an important year, Thua Thien Hue needs to quickly perfect the government system at all levels, ensuring unity and connectivity in state management.
"The work is very heavy, but we need to focus on leadership and direction in the spirit of the central government, ensuring a lean, compact, strong and effective apparatus. At the same time, we need to have solutions to handle headquarters, surplus assets and policies for cadres after the rearrangement to create consensus in the implementation process," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested the province to effectively implement the Hue City Urban Master Plan, complete the preservation and restoration of the Hue Monuments Complex, aiming to build Hue into a smart, modern city, while preserving the unique identity of the ancient capital.
Mr. Tran Thanh Man also suggested that the province focus on developing transport infrastructure to connect inter-provincial, inter-regional and international, while promoting digital transformation infrastructure. Promoting Hue's strengths to build the city into a major center for education - training, culture - tourism, science - technology and health.
In addition, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized the importance of building a civilized urban lifestyle and continuing to spread movements to build Hue City "bright - green - clean - beautiful", contributing to raising Hue's position on the national development map.
