Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Iron Joint Stock Company was fined 200 million VND for dumping dust exceeding the permitted technical regulations.

On May 29, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police said that in the past time, the unit has strengthened inspection, detection and handling of violations of environmental protection according to the general review plan of the Ministry of Public Security.

In the process of implementation, functional forces focus on inspecting production and business establishments and areas at risk of environmental pollution.

On May 21, functional agencies made a dossier to sanction administrative violations against Ha Giang Iron Joint Stock Company in Binh Vang Industrial Park. This enterprise operates in the field of producing iron alloys and feromanganium.

The inspection results showed that the company had a dust discharge behavior exceeding the permitted technical regulations by 1.1 to less than 1.5 times. For the above violation, the enterprise was fined 200 million VND.

In addition to administrative penalties, businesses are also forced to implement remedial measures, including replacing the fabric bag of the dust filter system to ensure that emissions meet technical standards before being discharged into the environment.

Tuyen Quang Provincial Police added that, through a preliminary review of one year of implementing Plan No. 135 of the Ministry of Public Security, functional forces have discovered and handled 2 cases with 2 defendants for the crime of causing environmental pollution.

During this time, 19 administrative violations related to the environment with 22 subjects, including 17 organizations and 5 individuals, were handled. The total fine amount is more than 5.5 billion VND.

The main violations occurred at industrial production facilities, medical facilities and livestock activities in the province.
