FDI enterprises contribute more than 2,000 billion VND
On July 12, information from Nghe An Provincial Tax Department said that budget revenue in the area in the first months of 2026 achieved positive results, in which the foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprise sector contributed more and more.
By the end of May 2026, the total domestic revenue of Nghe An reached 13,827 billion VND, equal to 65% of the year's estimate and an increase of 30% compared to the same period. Among the 16 main revenue items and taxes, there are 11 items that ensure progress.
The FDI enterprise sector alone contributed 1,094 billion VND to the budget, an increase of 191% compared to the same period and completing about 90% of the year's estimate. It is estimated that in the first 6 months of the year, revenue from this sector reached 2,048 billion VND.

Many FDI enterprises operating in the fields of industrial park infrastructure, electronics, high technology and export production have significant contributions.
Tan Viet Metal Science and Technology Co., Ltd. is expected to contribute more than 422 billion VND to the budget in the first 6 months of the year; VSIP Nghe An Co., Ltd. contributes about 240 billion VND; WHA Industrial Zone Nghe An Joint Stock Company contributes 74.9 billion VND.
The group of electronics and technology businesses including Merry & Luxshare Vietnam, Luxshare ICT Nghe An, Gao Jia Optics Technology Vietnam, Technology Xinfeng Vietnam and Sunny Automotive Quang hoc Vietnam also contributed tens of billions of VND each.
The above results show that the budget revenue structure of Nghe An is shifting in a positive direction, increasingly relying more on production, business, processing industry, manufacturing and export activities.
Currently, Nghe An has nearly 150 valid FDI projects, with a total registered capital of nearly 5 billion USD. Many electronics, components, supporting industries and processing and manufacturing projects have been put into operation in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks.
Promoting digital transformation in tax management
Along with supporting businesses to expand production, Nghe An province is implementing many solutions to improve tax management efficiency.
Nghe An Tax Department promotes digital transformation, exploiting data from electronic invoices, tax declaration dossiers and import and export activities to improve risk detection capabilities.
To date, the whole province has more than 57,800 eTax Mobile accounts registered; over 2,400 business households use electronic invoices initiated from cash registers.
In the first 5 months of the year, the tax authority has resolved and refunded more than 770 billion VND of value-added tax and over 40 billion VND of personal income tax, contributing to supplementing capital for production and business activities.
Improving the efficiency of tax management not only aims to combat budget revenue loss but also contributes to creating a transparent and equal investment environment among businesses.
The strong increase in revenue from the FDI sector is creating more room for Nghe An to invest in infrastructure and ensure social security. Along with attracting projects with technology, financial capacity and substantial production activities, good tax obligation management will help the province form a stable and sustainable source of revenue in the coming years.
