According to records, on June 21, coffee prices in Dak Lak decreased by VND 5,000/kg compared to the previous day.
The price from 101,000 VND/kg after just one day has dropped to 96,000 VND/kg, marking the lowest level since the beginning of 2025.
Previously, coffee prices always remained above VND100,000/kg, even reaching a record of VND135,000/kg at one point (March 2025).

The return to double-digit prices has surprised many farmers. Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, a farmer in Cu Sue commune (Cu M'gar district) said that his family has more than 1 hectare of coffee.
In recent times, he has regularly monitored coffee price developments. Accordingly, there are days when prices increase, days when prices decrease, and days when prices remain unchanged, but the difference is not significant.
However, today, the price has decreased by 5,000 VND/kg. This made him question whether this was at the bottom.
Ms. Luong Thi Oanh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Ea Wy Agricultural Production Cooperative (Ea H'leo district) said that coffee prices have gradually decreased in recent times.
Currently, the cooperative only stores a few tons of green coffee beans to produce flour. The members of the cooperative are holding about 20% of their coffee.
"During the recent harvest, people have sold quite a lot because of the high price, at times up to 135,000 VND/kg. Now that prices have decreased, they will store goods, wait for the right time or when they need money to sell," said Ms. Oanh.
The cooperative's director added that with the current price, it still ensures profits for growers.
Currently, people are focusing on taking care of their gardens, waiting for the harvest to come. According to Ms. Oanh's prediction, farmers will have a good harvest season because the weather this year is quite favorable.

According to Mr. Trinh Duc Minh, Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Association (Dak Lak), it is not too surprising that coffee prices have decreased, because currently Brazil and Indonesia - two major coffee growing countries in the world - have finished harvesting, with a large output thanks to the crop.
Brazil's output is expected to reach about 24-25 million Robusta bags, nearly equal to Vietnam. Indonesia is also said to have a bumper crop season, although specific figures have not been released.
According to Mr. Minh, the coffee output among the people is still low, only about 10%-15%, meaning most of it has been sold at high prices. The remaining output is mainly in warehouses of agents and exporters.
Mr. Minh said that coffee prices have decreased compared to before, but are still a reasonable price when fluctuating around 90,000-100,000 VND/kg.
Mr. Minh emphasized that the above price ensures benefits for both farmers and roasters.
When coffee prices reached 130,000-135,000 VND/kg, roasters encountered many difficulties. Stable prices will help maintain an effective supply chain, said Mr. Minh.
According to data from the Dak Lak Provincial Statistics Office, the total coffee area in the province is 212,100 hectares, with an average yield of 26.72 quintals/ha.
Total output in the 2023-2024 crop year reached 535,672 tons, down 23,057 tons compared to the previous crop year.
Output has decreased due to climate change, droughts, pests and some areas of regenerated coffee are in the basic stage of not being harvested yet...
