A recent example is the production of fake Ofood oil in Hung Yen - Nhat Minh Food Company was discovered using substandard ingredients, even showing signs of using animal oil to process cooking oil to provide millions of people. The police have prosecuted 3 defendants and seized more than 1,000 tons of unQualified oil.
At the same time, the authorities dismantled the Hiup flour milk case - a product widely advertised to help children increase their height. The investigation shows that Z Holdings Company provided fake test results, using unknown materials for mass production.

Faced with this situation, at the meeting with voters after the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly in Hung Yen province, voter Nguyen Van Vinh (Son Nam ward) frankly expressed his opinion: "Although many major lines have been broken up, the market is still very chaotic. People hope the Government will take stronger measures, increase maximum fines for individuals who advertise incorrect ingredients and utilities, especially products that directly affect health".
Recognizing the opinions of voters, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh affirmed: "The issue of food safety, counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods and false advertising is very pressing. It not only affects the economy but also public health. The National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee have organized many questioning and supervision sessions on this content".
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that at the 9th Session, the National Assembly agreed to increase penalties for crimes related to counterfeit goods when amending the Penal Code. At the same time, in the coming time, the National Assembly will amend the Law on Food Safety, and "will take note of voters' opinions to include in the content of the law amendment", Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh emphasized.
Many opinions say that, in addition to increasing sanctions, it is necessary to tighten the licensing and post-inspection process for health care products, enhance the role of legitimate media to guide people, avoid being deceived by "explosive" advertisements on social networks.
At the same time, measures should be taken to prevent celebrities and influencers from assisting in untrue advertising, and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of images to market substandard products, because this is one of the "connections" that cause counterfeit goods to spread rapidly.
