Maintain a continuous, safe and stable production pace
On February 14, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Cao Tuan Si - Director of Dung Quat Oil Refinery (NMLD) said that Dung Quat Oil Refinery has developed a high-level operating plan, reaching about 124 - 125% of the converted capacity.
This is a capacity level that reflects the stability of the technology line, operating management capacity as well as the experience of flexibly handling technical situations of the factory's engineers and workers. Maintaining high capacity during the Lunar New Year aims at the important goal of contributing to ensuring domestic gasoline and oil supply and ensuring national energy security.
According to Mr. Cao Tuan Si, in the face of forecasts about increasing demand for gasoline and oil during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, BSR - a member unit of Vietnam National Group of Industry and Energy (Petrovietnam) has proactively operated Dung Quat Oil Refinery safely and effectively at optimal capacity and organized operations throughout Tet to contribute to ensuring stable supply for the domestic market.
Right from the beginning of 2026, BSR proactively built operating scenarios suitable to actual production conditions, in which special attention is paid to ensuring safety, security and maintaining high and stable capacity. In which, BSR has focused on ensuring domestic gasoline and oil supply, especially during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
In the first 2 months of 2026, BSR is expected to produce a total of about 1.34 million tons of products. This output reflects BSR's operating efficiency and proactiveness in regulating production plans, in accordance with market demand and actual conditions.
Proactive production, ensuring supply
During the holidays of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, BSR has planned to receive 5 ships carrying crude oil and raw materials (including 3 domestic crude oil shipments, 1 imported crude oil shipment from abroad and 1 raw material component shipment). The import and receipt of raw materials are ensured to take place safely, on schedule, with continuous input for the Factory to operate stably, without allowing production disruptions during Tet.
At the same time, BSR's product export and sale activities by sea and road are still maintained normally. Essential gasoline and oil products are supplied in a timely manner to the domestic market, serving the travel, production, and living needs of people as well as national defense and security tasks. Ensuring stable supply during Tet not only contributes to stabilizing the market, but also affirms the "pillar" role of Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the national energy system.
To ensure the factory operates continuously throughout the Tet holiday, BSR has arranged full personnel to work in shifts. Operating, technical, maintenance, safety, and security departments all maintain 24/24h duty forces, ready to handle all arising situations promptly. Equipment maintenance and inspection are carried out regularly and seriously according to technical procedures, in order to detect early and prevent risks of incidents, ensuring the system operates stably and absolutely safely.
Dung Quat Oil Refinery has a total investment of over 3 billion USD. This is the first oil refinery in Vietnam, and also the 2nd largest oil refinery in the country. Processing capacity of 6.5 million tons of crude oil per year, meeting over 30% of domestic gasoline and oil demand.
