On the morning of February 14 (ie, the 27th day of Tet), the first day of the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, traffic at the southern gateway of the Capital recorded clear developments, without prolonged congestion like in previous years.
According to reporters' records, the volume of vehicles leaving Hanoi increased sharply in the areas of Giap Bat Bus Station, Ring Road 3, Ngoc Hoi and Phap Van intersection. However, the flow of vehicles moved stably and continuously, and no serious congestion occurred.

On Ring Road 3, both above and below, traffic is smooth, no longer prolonged congestion at the same time as previous Tet seasons. On Nguyen Xien street, vehicles circulate orderly, although the density is high, traffic conflicts do not occur.

Notably, the Ngoc Hoi road area, the turn into alley 15 to get to the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, the turns are organized scientifically and reasonably. The emergency traffic congestion prevention project implemented by the city in this area has initially been effective, helping to significantly reduce traffic pressure at Giai Phong intersection and Nuoc Ngam bus station area.

Although the number of vehicles increased sharply on the first day of the Tet holiday, the stable maintenance of traffic at the southern gateway of Hanoi is assessed as a positive sign, showing the effectiveness of infrastructure investment solutions and traffic organization serving the peak travel period during the Lunar New Year.
