On April 11, GG Power officially introduced the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) factory at Industrial Park No. 5 Xuan Truc, Hung Yen province.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long emphasized that the renewable energy market in Vietnam, if it wants to develop, must have a battery storage system. At the same time, he affirmed that the Ministry of Industry and Trade will accompany and remove difficulties for domestic enterprises to develop green, clean energy sources and the "Made in Vietnam" renewable energy ecosystem.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Le Quang Hoa said that the factory's operation is completely consistent with Hung Yen's development orientation to 2030, with a vision to 2045 to become an industrial and high-tech province.
According to Mr. Bui Xuan Binh - Chairman cum General Director of GG Power, GG Power does not aim to only produce equipment, but aims to master core technology, from control systems to integrated comprehensive solutions. "We invest heavily in R&D, develop internal standards, build factories and link international cooperation. This is not an easy path, requiring time, resources and steadfastness, but it is a necessary direction to form a new energy industry of the country" - Mr. Binh said.
GG Power factory has a total investment capital of 300 billion VND in phase 1, expected 300 billion VND for phase 2. The factory has an area of 1.2 hectares, including a modern 2-story production complex and a research and development (R&D) center, invested with a designed capacity of 5GWh per year. This is one of the first BESS factories in Vietnam to be invested methodically and professionally according to international standards, with an automation rate of over 90%, allowing quality control to each production stage.
