Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant - Branch of Vietnam Electricity Group has just coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH) - Ninh Thuan Provincial Police to organize a fire fighting plan drill at the Factory's Office Building located in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City.
This is one of the annual activities of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant, contributing to the propaganda and raising awareness of fire prevention and fighting and rescue work. Thereby, preventing and minimizing damage to people and property when a fire or explosion occurs.
The hypothetical situation of a fire occurring on the 2nd floor of the Factory's Office Building, caused by an electrical short circuit. When the fire broke out, the local fire fighting force quickly pressed the fire alarm, cut off the power to the entire office building and used on-site fire fighting equipment to organize initial fire fighting work.
However, due to the fire developing rapidly, emitting a lot of heat and smoke and toxic gas, the local fire prevention and fighting force could not control it and needed the support of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police and Rescue Force.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team - Ninh Thuan Provincial Police mobilized 1 command vehicle, 2 fire trucks and specialized equipment to support fire fighting to the scene, deploying each fire truck with officers and soldiers to approach, control and extinguish the fire.
The authorities also guided the factory workers working there to escape to safety; organized search and rescue, first aid and moved the injured to the emergency room promptly. After about 15 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Chien - Deputy Head of Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Division - Ninh Thuan Provincial Police assessed that Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant organized a methodical drill, with thorough preparation and a full number of personnel participating in the drill plan.
During the implementation process, the participants consciously followed the regulations in the drill, promoted a sense of responsibility, coordinated with professional forces to deploy smoothly, ensuring correct tactics, fire fighting procedures and absolute safety for people and vehicles participating.
