Lao Dong Newspaper received feedback from people in Son La province about many gas stations in the area selling controlled quantities and not selling gasoline and oil into cans or containers.

According to records, at about 1 pm on March 7, at PV Oil Thanh Nga gas station (Kien Xuong team, Binh Thuan commune), each motorbike was only allowed to buy a maximum of 50,000 VND for gasoline, for cars it was only allowed to buy no more than 200,000 VND.
Many people brought cans or other containers to buy more fuel but were refused by sales staff.
When asked about the reason for controlling the quantity and not selling gasoline and oil in cans, an employee at the store said that the current supply is not enough to meet demand.
The store owner directed sales like that, so we followed suit. The goods imported are not many, so we have to sell in moderation," this person said.

A similar situation was also recorded at Petrolimex gas station No. 02, Km328+320, Thuan Chau commune. Here, each motorbike is only allowed to buy a maximum of 50,000 VND for gasoline and is not allowed to buy in cans or other containers.
According to the sales staff, the reason is that the amount of imported gasoline and oil is limited, so the store has to sell according to regulations.
The fact that many stores control the quantity has caused many people to have difficulty buying fuel, especially households that need gasoline and oil to operate machinery to serve agricultural production.
Mr. Le Van Khuong (name changed, sub-zone 3, Thuan Chau commune) said that in the afternoon of March 7, when he heard information that gasoline prices could increase during the day, he went to a gas station near his house to refuel his motorbike.
The motorbike is only inflated for 50,000 VND. Luckily, my tank is almost full, so it's just enough. But if I need to buy more for backup, it's not possible," Mr. Khuong said.
Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Nga (character name changed, Tham village, Thuan Chau commune) said that she went to two gas stations nearly 10 km apart but still could not buy oil to run the tiller.
My family is preparing to till the land for the spring rice crop. I need to buy two cans of oil to run the milling machine, but the stores do not sell cans. If I cannot buy oil, the tilling will be slow," Ms. Nga worried.
According to Ms. Nga, many households in the area also encounter similar situations when they need to buy oil to operate agricultural machinery.

Notably, after 3 pm on March 7, when gasoline and oil prices were adjusted to increase, the situation of controlled sales continued at some stores.
At Ban Panh gas station, Chieng An ward managed by Truong Duc One Member Limited Liability Company, each motorbike is still only allowed to buy a maximum of 50,000 VND for gasoline and is not allowed to buy into cans.
Mr. T.V. T, representative of the enterprise (who asked to remain anonymous), said that the controlled sale is due to unstable supply.
Motorbikes each person only get 50,000 VND, not pumped into cans because the supply is not enough. If the situation is more difficult, it may even have to be sold limited to 20,000-30,000 VND per vehicle," Mr. T said.
Faced with this situation, many people hope that functional agencies will have solutions to ensure stable supply to serve the needs of living and production in the area.
