On June 10 and 11, walking along the busy streets of Lao Cai city such as Hoang Lien, Ly Cong Uan, Nguyen Hue, Nhac Son..., according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, unlike the quiet scene of previous days, many stores have reopened operations.
Through observation, the shops are gradually opening after the peak period of checking counterfeit and smuggled goods. However, there are still some places that have not resumed operations, or are half-opened to avoid the attention of the authorities.

Meanwhile, in large markets in Lao Cai city such as Kim Tan, Coc Leu, tourist markets, trading and business activities here have become somewhat calmer and gloomy after a series of news about product inspections across the country.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - a trader at Lao Cai tourist market shared: "We are currently very confused about checking goods. In addition, new policies on taxes, invoices, and documents are also unclear. Therefore, not only in markets, but many businesses in the city have also temporarily closed".
Besides businesses, people are also worried and find it difficult to find a place to buy goods because many businesses have closed.
Therefore, when the stores are back in operation, people's buying, selling and exchanging goods will also be more comfortable.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huy (residing in Lao Cai city) said: "Many kiosks and stores in many large markets specializing in selling clothes and everything in Lao Cai city have closed. I also had to spend time looking for places that were still open to shop. Because it is in the peak period of checking counterfeit and smuggled goods across the country, Lao Cai city borders China, so they have closed their doors to avoid checking. But at this time, many places are selling again, so buying is easier.

Talking to PV of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Deputy Head of Market Management Team No. 1 - the unit managing the Lao Cai city area - said: "When I check, they are afraid, pay all because if one thing is not involved, the other will be involved, it cannot be 100% complete. The closure of stores has also caused some difficulties in inspection, but this is a common situation in the whole country. The peak period of checking counterfeit and smuggled goods will end on June 15".
Explaining the reason for the closure of a series of stores and markets, according to Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, due to the impact of the media, people are also afraid. In addition, they do not fully understand and are fluent about tax policies, invoices, documents, etc.
Not only that, it is currently the peak period of fighting smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods, so households have closed their doors to listen to the situation.

"We are combining inspection, along with promoting propaganda so that people understand and grasp the state's policies correctly. Therefore, there are now many traders and business households reopening their business doors, added the Deputy Captain of Market Management Team No. 1.
According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, the policies are correct and good, but everything takes time for people to access and gradually change.
Along with that, imported goods and sub-ranks must be strictly controlled to promote domestic production instead. However, it takes process and time, it cannot be completely handled in a short time.
