Recorded by Lao Dong Newspaper reporters on May 1st, resorts along the Capital (1-3 hours from the center), many retreat and homestay areas amidst nature in neighboring provinces have been fully booked very early, even a month before the holiday.
Representative of Mit Retreat in Da Bac commune (Phu Tho) - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tung - said that the number of customers increased sharply right from the beginning of the month. "We were fully booked about a month before the holiday. Closer to the day, many customers still called to ask but could not receive more because the capacity had reached its maximum," Mr. Tung shared.
According to Mr. Tung, most of the visitors come from Hanoi, mainly family groups and young people, staying for 2-3 days to enjoy the natural space, participate in experiential activities such as boating, trekking or package vacations.

At Xoan Retreat (Da Bac commune), Mr. Luu Anh Tu - the facility owner - informed that the resort has 21 rooms but has been fully booked many weeks before the holiday.
The trend of nearby tourism is becoming increasingly clear. Customers do not want to travel far, instead choosing green, quiet spaces for short-term rest," Mr. Tu said.
Similarly, Nguyen Duc Chien - Manager of Mo Village - shared that 18 rooms of the resort have been fully booked from more than two weeks before the holiday.
Customers book rooms very early, even some groups book from the beginning of the month to reserve rooms. Room occupancy rate this time reached 100%," Mr. Chien said.

And Mr. Bui Van Dang - Manager of Ban Muong Xanh Tourist Area (Cao Son commune, Phu Tho) - said that the tourist area has 20 rooms but has been fully booked about two weeks before the holiday. Thanks to its convenient location, only about 50 km from Hanoi, this place attracts many groups of tourists to choose to relax and experience local culture.
According to accommodation establishment owners, one of the main reasons why resorts in the suburbs of Hanoi attract tourists is the short travel distance, reasonable cost and suitable for short holidays. Instead of long-day trips, many families choose weekend or holiday vacations to balance between rest and work.

Mr. Pham Tuan Trung - Director of Tay Bac Tourism Company - said that the trend of tourism in the suburbs of Hanoi increased sharply after the epidemic and continues to be maintained.
Tourists are increasingly prioritizing experiencing nature, private space and package services. Small retreats and homestays are therefore often fully booked faster than traditional hotels," Mr. Trung assessed.
In addition to the distance factor, resorts near Hanoi are also attractive because of the package service model, including dining, experiential activities and entertainment. This helps tourists not have to make complicated plans but still have a complete vacation.
According to Mr. Trung, travel agencies predict that the trend of traveling a radius of 200 km around Hanoi will continue to increase sharply in the summer. Natural destinations such as old Hoa Binh, Ba Vi, Tam Dao, Mai Chau are forecast to continue to be the top choice of Northern tourists.
Faced with high demand, many accommodation establishments recommend that tourists book rooms early, especially during peak holidays, Tet and weekends to avoid room shortages.
