On November 21, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Department of Science and Technology of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) announced the temporary suspension of operations of 5 gas stations at a business location of Pacific Petroleum Joint Stock Company.
According to the content of this document, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality announces the temporary suspension of 5 fuel measuring devices (pumps) with inspection stamp numbers: 19A 00155 serial number 391; 19A 00150 serial number 168; 19A 00151 serial number 091; 19A 00152 serial number 092; 19A 00153 serial number 169. These measuring devices are at gas station No. 3, address 3 Le Hong Phong Street, Ward 7, Vung Tau City.
The reason for the suspension was that the facility had tampered with the circuit board of the fuel meter, distorting the measurement results. The error of the measuring device exceeded the allowable limit when selling Ron 95-III gasoline to customers. Previously, on November 19, the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality established a team to conduct an on-site inspection and discovered the violation, so a record was drawn up.
The above notice takes effect from November 20. The Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality also requires businesses not to arbitrarily open the seals of the 5 petrol measuring devices for business without a written notice of opening.
According to the reporter's observations at the gas station at 3 Le Hong Phong Street on the morning of November 21, the store was operating normally, with some customers still coming to fill up their gas. However, some pumps had been covered and were not operating.
