As Lao Dong newspaper reported, a labor accident that killed a worker just occurred in Phu Binh commune (Thai Nguyen).
At the above time, a group of workers were constructing the embankment in Thuong hamlet (former Bao Ly commune). During the construction process, soil and rocks suddenly buried it, killing 1 person.
PV recorded on March 27, the area where the incident occurred at Cau Nhuan dam in Thuong hamlet. After the accident, the construction site is temporarily closed, many items at the project are still messy.
Mr. Nguyen Van T. (Thuong hamlet, Phu Binh commune) said, I am also a construction worker here. The accident occurred at about 4 pm on March 26.
This project has been under construction for 1 month now, making culverts and overflows. Yesterday there were only 4 workers working, at that time everyone was resting to drink water.
Mr. Q. (the victim) continued to work, was packing the formwork to overflow when suddenly soil and rocks buried him all over. It all happened in just a few seconds," Mr. T. said sadly.
Also according to Mr. T., everyone witnessed but did not have time to support. A large amount of soil and rock caused suffocation leading to death. It was not until 11 pm last night that the procedures were completed and the victim was taken home for the family to take care of the funeral.
Everything happened too quickly and unexpectedly, so everyone felt sorry. In the immediate future, we will finish the funeral first, and when the construction will resume is also unclear," Mr. T. said.
Previously, information from Phu Binh Commune People's Committee, the work that just caused the above labor accident was assigned by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thai Nguyen province to the Sub-Department of Irrigation as the investor.
Currently, the cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
