The Vietnamese business community is constantly growing and maturing
Mr. Nguyen Quang Vinh emphasized that in nearly 40 years of renovation, the Vietnamese business community has continuously matured and grown, making many important contributions to the country's development; affirming Vietnam's position, prestige and image in the international arena.
From a few thousand enterprises in 1990, the number of Vietnamese enterprises has now increased to nearly 1 million enterprises, more than 33,000 cooperatives and over 5 million business households. The business sector currently contributes about 60% of GDP, 98% of export turnover and creates jobs for 85% of workers nationwide, becoming a shock force in industrialization, modernization and international integration.
The business community has reached tens of millions of people. The majority of Vietnamese entrepreneurs have patriotism, the desire to contribute, a sense of the rule of law, and social responsibility, increasingly contributing positively to the cause of social security and development of the country.
VCCI aims to develop, protect and support the business community; build progressive, harmonious and stable labor relations; contribute to the socio-economic development of the country; at the same time, promote economic, trade, scientific and technological cooperation between Vietnam and the world on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, according to the provisions of law.
VCCI has promoted its role as a representative and bridge between the Party, the State and the business community through synthesizing recommendations, listening to feedback from businessmen, businesses and business associations to send to competent authorities.
The work of developing and reviewing policies and laws has become a bright spot, affirming the important role of VCCI, as a representative voice for the business community in the process of national institutional reform.
VCCI also pioneered the launching and implementation of many important activities to strongly promote the improvement of the investment - business environment, encouraging businesses to develop sustainably.
Advised the Politburo to issue Resolution 41-NQ/TW on promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new period; at the same time, proactively and actively implement a series of trade and investment promotion activities, supporting businesses to effectively integrate internationally.
From the initial 93 members (in 1963), VCCI has now developed an extensive network nationwide with about 12,000 direct members, more than 200 business associations and over 200,000 affiliated member businesses in all fields and industries.
The organization and operation model of VCCI is selectively adopted from the experience of national and local Commercial Departments around the world, and adjusted to suit the practical conditions of Vietnam.

This is the time to build and promote more strongly the role and mission of the business community and the business community.
Mr. Vinh said that the 13th National Party Congress set a goal that by 2045 - the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, we will become a developed country with high income. Accordingly, there are only 20 years left for the political system, including the business community and the business community, to strive to achieve this goal.
As General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "Vietnam is facing a new historical starting point, a new era - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise. The great and historic achievements of the Doi Moi process are the premise for the Vietnamese people to believe in the future ahead".
This is the time to build and promote more strongly the role and mission of the business community to contribute to bringing the country into the "era of the Vietnamese people's rise".
According to Mr. Vinh, the business community and business community have never had such a great position, attention and expectations as they do today. Resolution 68-NQ/TW and Resolution 41-NQ/TW have affirmed the central and core role of businesses and entrepreneurs in building an independent and self-reliant economy, associated with ensuring national defense and security.
The double-digit economic growth target set by the Party and State - opens up great opportunities for innovation, improves competitiveness and expands the scale of enterprises. Along with that is the process of streamlining and streamlining the organizational apparatus, improving the capacity to create a favorable business environment for the business community.
To continue promoting its role, the VCCI Party Committee has made a number of recommendations: Regarding the organizational model: Propose that the Party continue to identify VCCI as a socio-political - professional organization, a mass association assigned by the Party and the State, in line with the position of the business community and the business community in the new context.
Regarding the mechanism of operation: Propose to develop and promulgate a Law on associations, including separate regulations for specific associations such as VCCI to ensure a legal basis for activities.
Regarding the assignment of tasks: Proposal to allow VCCI to participate in depth in the process of developing the Private Economic Development Project, the double-digit Economic Growth Project; continue to assign VCCI to implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, especially the "pillar" four.

Regarding the party organization model: It is proposed to identify the VCCI Party Committee as a party organization at the grassroots level, or to delegate power at the grassroots level, to perform well the functions and tasks, build a clean and strong VCCI Party Committee, and effectively lead the implementation of assigned tasks.
"A strong economy needs a strong business community; a strong business community needs a strong commercial space to achieve the major goals set by the Party and the State.
VCCI will always adhere to the Party's viewpoints and guidelines in performing its functions and tasks, worthy of being a national organization representing the business community and entrepreneurs, a solid bridge between the Party, the State and the business community and enterprises", Mr. Vinh emphasized.
