Previously, on May 22nd and May 27th, Market Management Team No. 1 under the Khanh Hoa Provincial Market Management Sub-Department conducted surprise inspections of two business households including Alo Store - Thoc Store at 45 Hung Vuong - 199 Nguyen Thien Thuat and Navigator Shop at 96A Tran Phu, Nha Trang ward.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered that the two establishments were displaying and trading 985 products including T-shirts, jackets, shoes... counterfeiting Nike, Adidas and Crocs brands. The total value of violating goods is nearly 255 million VND.
The case has been submitted to competent authorities for consideration and issuance of a decision to sanction administrative violations.
The total amount of fines is expected to be more than 200 million VND, and at the same time, it is forced to destroy all violating goods according to regulations.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Market Management Department, from May 7 to May 30, functional forces inspected 28 production and business establishments showing signs of violations in the province.
As a result, all 28 establishments were found to have violations related to counterfeit trademarks.
To date, functional agencies have handled 22 cases, sanctioned administrative violations with a total amount of 513.75 million VND, an increase of more than 970% compared to the same period in 2025.
In addition to fines, the market management force forced the destruction of 1,250 violating products including clothes, shoes, glasses, hats, backpacks, socks and motorbike parts with a total value of more than 218 million VND.
In addition, 1,295 other products worth nearly 298.5 million VND are being temporarily seized for further verification and handling according to the provisions of law.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Market Management Department said that the main violating goods belong to the group of fashion, accessories, handbags, shoes and motorbike parts counterfeiting famous brands.
Violating stores often take advantage of the shopping needs of tourists, especially Korean tourists, for major brands such as Gucci, Chanel, Crocs, BVLGARI... Thereby creating conditions for subjects to increase the trading of smuggled goods and counterfeit branded goods at high prices in order to make illegal profits.
