On May 28, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that Gia Vien Commune Police are strengthening coordination with functional departments and branches to grasp the situation in the area, review business establishments with suspicious signs to promptly detect and strictly handle acts of producing and trading in counterfeit goods, fake goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights.
As a result, at about 10 am on May 25, Gia Vien Commune Police coordinated with the Market Management force to conduct a surprise inspection of a business household owned by Ms. La Thi L. Through inspection, functional forces discovered that this establishment was selling 110 pairs of shoes showing signs of counterfeiting trademarks that have been protected in Vietnam.
Following that, at about 10 am on May 26, Gia Vien Commune Police continued to coordinate to inspect a number of business households in the area. Through inspection, Ms. Nguyen Thi H's business household had 20 pairs of shoes; Ms. Nguyen Thi T's business household had 22 pairs of shoes showing signs of counterfeiting trademarks that have been protected in Vietnam.
Working with functional agencies, business households could not present invoices and documents proving the origin of the above-mentioned goods. The working group made a record and sealed all exhibits to continue verifying, clarifying and handling according to regulations.
In the coming time, Gia Vien Commune Police will continue to closely coordinate with functional forces to strengthen market inspection and control; promptly detect, fight, and strictly handle acts of trading in counterfeit goods, fake goods, and goods violating intellectual property regulations, contributing to ensuring security and order and building a healthy business environment in the area.
