On June 1, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that the Economic Security Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with Y Yen Commune Police and Market Management Team No. 9 to inspect the business household of Mr. V.A. B in Van Diem 2 village, Y Yen commune.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered 100 shoe products showing signs of counterfeiting famous brands that have been protected in Vietnam, with a total value of nearly 100 million VND.
At the time of inspection, the household owner could not present invoices or documents proving the legal origin of the goods. Functional forces decided to temporarily seize all goods showing signs of trademark counterfeiting to continue verifying, clarifying and handling according to the provisions of law.
During the working process, Mr. V.A. B admitted that due to greed for profit, he imported counterfeit goods of famous brands that have been protected in Vietnam to sell for profit.
Currently, the case is being clarified and handled by functional agencies according to the provisions of law.
