Ninh Binh - Functional forces inspect T.K fashion store and discover 119 garments showing signs of counterfeiting famous brands.

On May 29, Ninh Binh Provincial Police said that the Economic Security Department had just coordinated with Market Management Team (QLTT) No. 1, Ninh Binh Provincial Market Management Sub-Department and Nam Dinh Ward Police to inspect the compliance with the law in the business operations of T.K fashion clothing store on Hai Ba Trung street, Nam Dinh ward, Ninh Binh province.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered 119 clothing products showing signs of counterfeiting famous brands that have been protected in Vietnam, with a total value of goods of nearly 200 million VND. Functional forces decided to temporarily seize all the above-mentioned goods showing signs of counterfeiting brands for further verification, clarification and handling according to the provisions of law.

During the working process, the business household owner admitted that although they were not allowed by the owners of famous brands to use, produce, trade, or distribute products bearing protected trademarks, due to chasing profits and meeting consumer tastes, they still imported counterfeit trademarks to sell for profit.

Currently, the case is being clarified and handled by functional agencies according to the provisions of law.
