Nearly 11 tons of goods, meat and animal organs of unknown origin, have just been discovered and temporarily detained by the Hanoi Market Management force.

This amount of goods, according to the Market Management Department, are all products without labels, product information, and no invoices or documents proving legal origin.

The entire quantity of goods mentioned above was suddenly inspected by Market Management Team No. 17 in coordination with Team 7, PC03 Department, Hanoi City Police, business household N.D.C, Bai Do village, Tri Thuy commune, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi City.

At the time of inspection, the facility was operating normally.

Working with the inspection team, Mr. N.D.C - the business owner presented the Business Registration Certificate issued by the Phu Xuyen District Finance - Planning Department for the first time at the end of January 2024.

At the business establishment, the inspection team discovered nearly 11 tons of products were beef and cow organs, such as cow's heart, cow tendon, cow, cow's throat, cow's bone, cow's edge, cow brain, cow's stomach, liver, unused frozen cow's lungs in plastic bags without labels and information about products. In particular, many foods show signs of damage, unpleasant odor. The shipment has a total value of over VND 188 million.

Mr. C could not present invoices or documents proving the legality of the goods and stated that the beef and organs were purchased by the facility floating on the market, through many different sources. Therefore, the number of animal organs does not have a basis to determine the origin of production and origin of goods as well as to ensure food hygiene and hygiene quality.

The inspection team drew up a record to temporarily detain and seal all of the above-mentioned infringing goods to prevent administrative violations.

According to the leader of Market Management Team No. 17, all goods are contained in cold storage areas, placed in sparsely populated areas, and food is mainly purchased and gathered at dawn, so the tracking process takes a long time. In particular, the process of purchasing, preliminary processing, preserving and consuming was carried out by the subjects in a closed and very fast manner, and goods were transported for consumption in many provinces and cities across the country.
