Publicize information for businesses to access
On June 18, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requested that the implementation of energy projects in the area must be carried out publicly and transparently, creating favorable conditions for businesses to access information and participate in project implementation in accordance with regulations.
According to a report by the Quang Ngai Provincial Department of Finance, from March 2026 to now, the unit has received dossiers requesting investment policy approval for 22 energy projects in the area.
Through review, there are currently 4 projects assessed as feasible for further consideration, including Son Mau 1 Hydropower Plant, Son Mau 2 Hydropower Plant, Nuoc Long A Hydropower Plant and Sac Ly - Kon Tum Wind Power Plant.
For the remaining 18 projects, functional agencies determined that there are still many problems related to connection plans, capacity clearance capacity, conformity with land use planning, forestry planning and forest status in the proposed investment area.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to fully disclose information about energy projects in the area in the period 2026 - 2030; and at the same time strengthen inspection and assessment of investor capacity to ensure the selection of units with sufficient capacity to implement projects, and submit them to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
Propose early investment in power grid infrastructure
Recently, Quang Ngai province said that some transformers and 110kV power lines, especially in the western area of the province, are operating at high load levels.
The current power grid infrastructure does not meet the capacity clearance requirements of power source projects according to Power Plan VIII and Quang Ngai Provincial Plan that have been approved.
Therefore, Quang Ngai proposed that Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) support ensuring electricity sources to serve the lives, production and development needs of economic zones and industrial parks in the area.
At the same time, the province requested EVN to direct the Central Power Corporation to soon allocate capital to invest in the Dak Glei 110kV substation project and the connection system, putting it into operation in the period 2027 - 2028 to synchronize with the progress of planned power source projects.
