The project to build a coastal road extended from Tran Quoc Nghien Street (near P4 of Bai Chay Bridge) passing through Binh Minh Bridge to Bang Bridge has a total investment of 2,590 billion VND, from the budget of Quang Ninh province, invested by the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Area II, Quang Ninh province.
The project aims to gradually complete the approved transport infrastructure system, forming a smooth, synchronous, and modern sea route; connecting urban areas on both sides of Cua Luc Bay, opening up new development space in a sustainable direction, in line with the requirements of green growth and adaptation to climate change.
The route also creates a highlight in terms of architectural space and landscape, contributing to attracting tourism development, creating momentum to promote socio-economic development.
The total length of the entire route is about 7.4 km, designed according to urban road standards, the secondary main street type, the design speed is 60 km/h, the structure of the road is soft, including 3 main sections. In which, section 1 from Km0+000 to Km0+600, cross-section of 6 lanes, roadbed width of 40m.
Section 2 from Km0+600 to Km5+800, expanding 2 more lanes, ensuring a complete scale of 6 lanes, with a floor width of 40m; at some locations, Cua Luc Bay is expanded to arrange sightseeing and walking paths.
Section 3 from Km5+800 to Km7+410, along the water surface of Cua Luc Bay, through Binh Minh Bridge to Tran Phu Street, with a scale of 6 lanes, roadbed width of 40m.

The project also invests in building a new deep-water overpass (about 380m long) and expanding 3 existing bridges with a total length of about 115m.
When completed, the extended coastal route from Tran Quoc Nghien to Bang Bridge will create a modern coastal traffic axis, connecting the central area of the old Ha Long City, contributing to expanding the space for urban development, promoting tourism and sustainable socio-economic development of Quang Ninh province.
The project is expected to be implemented from 2025 to 2028.
In parallel with this project, a coastal road project in the western area of Cua Luc Bay is also expected to be invested in construction from 2025 to 2028.
The total length of the research route is about 8.3 km, connecting from Trai 2 bridge to Tinh Yeu bridge and connecting to National Highway 279, with 6 lanes, designed speed of 60km/h.
The roadbed width is 38m and the road surface width is 23m.
The total investment of the project is VND 2,860 billion, assigned by the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Area 1 of Quang Ninh province to be the project owner.
Investing in the above routes to create unity and synchronization for the formation of urban areas in the area, ensuring smooth traffic from neighboring localities to the center of the old Ha Long, attracting investment, increasing the value of land benefits is extremely necessary.
To date, Quang Ninh has invested in building 2 large bridges across Cua Luc Bay, namely Tinh Yeu Bridge and Binh Minh Bridge. In the future, we will continue to research and invest in the construction of Cua Luc 2 bridge.
