Saigon - Hanoi Bank (SHB) announced the implementation of a special program to support corporate and individual customers suffering damage due to storms and floods, including an average support of 50% of the interest payable during the period from September 1 to December 31, 2024. Especially for customers suffering heavy damage and having difficulty in restoring production, depending on the level, SHB can support 100% of the interest payable in the last 4 months of the year.
At the same time, the bank also provides a credit package with an interest rate of only 4.5%/year with new loans for corporate and individual customers affected by storms and floods, helping to stabilize life and restore production after natural disasters.
SHB's representative said: "Understanding and sharing with customers affected by storms and floods, the bank hopes that the support program and preferential interest rate credit package will help customers overcome difficulties, speed up the recovery process, and rebuild production and business activities."
Previously, right after storm No. 3 swept through, causing severe flooding in the northern provinces, SHB and the entire banking industry sent donations to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. At the same time, in the spirit of mutual love, SHB staff throughout the system also launched the "Heart of Love" program, donating to support people affected by storms and floods.
In particular, in recent days, SHB staff in localities affected by storms and floods have proactively protected their families and loved ones, maintained the bank's continuous business operations, and actively participated in activities to support local people.
In addition to emergency support during and immediately after the storm and flood, SHB will continue to accompany customers and people in social activities, construction of works, infrastructure... in damaged areas. In particular, SHB will sponsor the reconstruction of collapsed houses, resettlement areas for people, reconstruction of civil infrastructure... to help people stabilize their lives after natural disasters.
