Recorded at major supermarket systems in Ho Chi Minh City such as MM Mega Market Vietnam, AEON, GO!, Co.opmart, Emart... the number of customers coming to shop for Tet has begun to increase.
Most areas are bustling, from confectionery, Tet jam, fresh food, processed food to clothes, household appliances... The main reason is that promotional programs are implemented simultaneously, with deep discounts and diverse forms.
Shopping at Co.opmart supermarket, Ms. Bui My Quynh (Tan Binh ward) said: "This year I see goods at the supermarket quite diverse, beautiful designs, prices have many deep discount programs, so my family takes advantage of buying early to save costs.

At Lotte Mart, many food items and dried foods serving Tet dishes are discounted up to 40%; confectionery and cereals are discounted up to 39%; drinks and soft drinks are discounted up to 43%. Pork, beef, fresh vegetables and many imported fruits such as Korean strawberries, Chilean cherry, French Juliet apples... are discounted up to 32%.
Lotte Mart also provides Tet gift solutions with diverse prices from 199,000 VND to 10,000,000 VND, meeting many gift needs.
Compared to Tet 2025, the total inventory this year of MM Mega Market Vietnam increased by 10-30% depending on the industry group, in which the group of necessities, confectionery and processed food recorded a high increase due to the long Tet holiday. The beer and alcohol industry increased slightly, while the household goods group increased significantly, especially in warehouses in the Central region.
Tet gift baskets are designed with diverse prices, from about 100,000 VND to nearly 2 million VND, suitable for many customer segments, of which more than 50% of gift baskets have prices below 500,000 VND.

Representatives of many supermarket systems said that the current time has entered the peak of Tet shopping and is expected to last until around December 25-26 of the lunar calendar.
Faced with this situation, the Ho Chi Minh City Industry and Trade sector has requested markets and supermarkets to proactively ensure the supply of essential goods, and at the same time not to let the situation of scarcity or unreasonable price increases occur. At the same time, the Department of Industry and Trade encourages more units to participate in the "Green Accountability" Program to contribute to preventing poor quality goods and protecting consumer rights.
