With increasing environmental awareness, consumers around the world tend to prioritize choosing green and clean products. Many countries have also established strict control standards on food hygiene and safety, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
In that context, building the brand "Low-emission green Vietnamese rice" not only opens up opportunities to increase the value of rice grains but also meets the increasingly demanding needs of the modern consumer market.

As one of the enterprises granted the right to use the "Low Emission Green Vietnamese Rice" trademark, Mr. Pham Thai Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Trung An High-Tech Agricultural Joint Stock Company (Can Tho City) - said that this is both an honor and a responsibility for Vietnamese rice export enterprises. Producing according to the criteria of reducing greenhouse gas emissions will not only reduce production costs for farmers but also increase value and open up opportunities for Vietnamese rice in demanding markets.
When implementing the criteria for emission reduction, it means that we are reducing pesticide waste. These are the criteria that make rice grains safe and environmentally friendly, to supply demanding markets, especially Japan and Europe, said Mr. Binh.
Mr. Truong Van Chinh - Director of Chon Chinh Import-Export Company Limited (Dong Thap province) - said that the unit has offered rice products to reduce emissions and received positive reviews from customers. It is expected that this May or June, the company will export the first batch of rice with the brand name "Low Emission Green Vietnamese Rice" to the markets of South Africa, Ghana, and the Middle East.

Mr. Do Ha Nam - Chairman of Vietnam Food Association - said that currently, Vietnamese rice is being considered the most expensive in the world. What makes the value of rice grain increases is that our country creates different rice varieties, different quality and consumers around the world have considered Vietnamese rice as an irreplaceable product. The certification of the right to use the brand "Low emissions Viet Xanh rice" continues to help Vietnam's rice product more and more reputable in the world market.
The Vietnam Rice Industry Association's granting of the right to use the "Low Emission Green Vietnamese Rice" trademark is something we highly appreciate. For many years, consumers around the world have used Vietnamese rice but have never seen this brand. For members of the Vietnam Food Association with 161 exporting enterprises, when this label is attached to the product, the value of rice will increase and rice farmers will also have better income, said Mr. Nam.
