Awarding the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Viettel Group

The President has decided to award the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal to 3 key leaders and officers of Viettel Group.

According to Decision No. 808/QD-CTN dated May 12, 2025, authorized by the President, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Major General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group, Major General Nguyen Dinh Chien - Deputy General Director of Viettel Group and Lieutenant Colonel Vu Tuan Anh - Director of Viettel Aerospace Institute.

These are noble awards from the Party and the State, demonstrating the concern, trust, encouragement and recognition of the merits and achievements of key leaders in Viettel Group for important tasks of the Fatherland.

In recent times, many projects researched and developed by Viettel Group have been accepted with breakthrough results in the field of aviation and aerospace, helping Vietnam become one of the few countries in the world to master technical equipment and high-tech defense industry products.

In addition, 3 Second Class Fatherland Protection Medals and 9 Third Class Fatherland Protection Medals were also awarded to the leaders of the Viettel Group High-Tech Industry Department, Deputy Directors of Viettel Aerospace Institute, as well as the Directors of the Center under Viettel Aerospace Institute.

With outstanding achievements in the field of national defense and security, in December 2024, Viettel Aerospace Institute was awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, recognizing the achievements in researching, manufacturing and successfully producing high-tech strategic weapons, contributing to the modernization of the Army and enhancing national defense potential.
