Viettel promotes artificial intelligence and digital transformation

Viettel's cooperation promotes comprehensive digital transformation based on artificial intelligence platforms, improving Vietnam's technological competitiveness in the region.

The Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) and KT Group (Korea) have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA).

This partnership focuses on promoting comprehensive digital transformation based on the Artificial Intelligence (AI Transformation - AX) platform, improving Vietnam's technological competitiveness in the region.

On the basis of maximizing the strength and experience of each party, Viettel with the advantage of large -scale digital - telecommunications infrastructure and deep understanding of the domestic market will play a core role in deploying in Vietnam market. KT contributes to the research and development of technological platforms that have been verified in Korea, especially in the field of artificial intelligence and AI conversion. Through this cooperation, the two sides promote the development of AI solutions suitable for Vietnamese conditions, and expand to deploy to the international market.

The two groups will closely coordinate in developing and deploying digital technology platforms, AI ecosystems and data infrastructure to serve the AI transformation process (AI Transformation (AX) - the comprehensive transformation of business operations based on artificial intelligence platforms, not only changing tools, but also restructuring the way of operation, decision-making and value creation in the digital environment) in Vietnam.

Clearly identifying the pioneering role in the AI transformation process in Vietnam, Viettel will study and apply AX to widely serve people and households. In addition, Viettel aims to provide in-depth AX solutions to businesses and governments, to modernize national digital infrastructure and improve operational efficiency.

The two sides will jointly build a dedicated data center for AI and a GPU server cluster. To improve AX capacity, the two groups will develop high-quality IT and AX human resources through the Global Development Center located in Hanoi, agreeing to expand training programs, contributing to the development of future generations of AI experts for Vietnam.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group Tao Duc Thang emphasized: After a period of hard work, today's agreement marks the beginning of the strategic cooperative relationship between Viettel and KT. With KT's pioneering technology and Viettel's market understanding, we believe it will bring modern solutions, suitable for Vietnam and the international markets that Viettel is investing in".

For his part, Mr. Kim Young Shub - Chairman of KT Group shared: Viettel is an ideal partner to realize the goal of comprehensive AI transformation. Combining the resources of both sides, we hope to contribute to making Vietnam and Korea become the leading countries in the world in the process of transformation and application of AI.

Through this strategic cooperation, Viettel and KT hope to jointly create an advanced digital technology ecosystem capable of expanding globally, while contributing to improving endogenous technology capacity, developing high-quality human resources, and promoting the technological position of Vietnam and Korea on the world digital map.
