Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 1548 on the establishment of the Dong Thap Economic Zone Management Board on the basis of merging the Tien Giang Industrial Park Management Board and the Dong Thap Economic Zone Management Board (old).
Accordingly, the Dong Thap Economic Zone Management Board (Management Board) is an agency under the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, performing the function of direct state management of industrial parks and economic zones (including border gate economic zones) in Dong Thap province; managing and organizing the implementation of the function of providing public administrative services and other support services related to investment, production and business activities for enterprises in industrial parks and economic zones (including border gate economic zones) according to the provisions of law.
The Dong Thap Economic Zone Management Board has legal status; has an account and a national emblem; state administrative management budget, career operations budget and development investment capital issued by the state budget according to the annual plan and other funding sources according to regulations of competent state agencies.
The Head of the Dong Thap Provincial Economic Zone Management Board shall submit to the Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee to specify the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Management Board according to the provisions of law.
Decision No. 1548/QD-TTg takes effect from July 17, 2025; abolish Decision No. 1165/QD-TTg dated August 7, 2009 of the Prime Minister on the establishment of the Management Board of Dong Thap Economic Zone, Dong Thap province.
