According to Zing, Thailand's SCG Group has recently announced the completion of a contract with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN) to buy back the remaining 29% of shares at Long Son Petrochemical Plant with a value of VND 2,052 billion.
SCG proposed to buy back 29% of its shares from PVN in early January, but so far the Thai group has only completed the goal.
The Long Son Petrochemical Complex Project was officially granted an investment license in 2008, with a total investment capital of 3.7 billion USD. After some adjustments, the project's investment capital has been increased to 4 billion USD and is now 5.4 billion USD.
