Tram Tau Hydropower Plant fined 320 million VND

Lao Cai - Without an environmental permit, Tram Tau Hydropower Joint Stock Company was fined 320 million VND according to the Government's regulations.

On March 4, information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment has just issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against Tram Tau Hydropower Joint Stock Company.

Tram Tau Hydropower Joint Stock Company is headquartered in Tram Tau commune, Lao Cai province, with Mr. Khuong Van Tao as General Director, legal representative.

According to the sanctioning decision, this enterprise did not have an Environmental Permit for Tram Tau Hydropower Plant in Tram Tau, Hanh Phuc, Phinh Ho communes, Lao Cai province, although it is subject to being licensed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The above act violates the provisions of point c, clause 3, Article 14 of Decree No. 45/2022/ND-CP of the Government on sanctioning administrative violations in the field of environmental protection. The total fine is 320 million VND.

Businesses must pay fines according to regulations. In case of exceeding the deadline and not voluntarily complying, businesses will be subject to enforcement according to regulations and must pay an additional 0.05%/day calculated on the amount of unpaid fines.
