Market Management Team No. 3 coordinated with Team 6 - Economic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police to conduct a surprise inspection of a business establishment in Long Truong ward.
Through inspection, functional forces discovered a particularly large quantity including thousands of pairs of shoes, sandals, and socks counterfeiting famous brands protected in Vietnam. All goods were unused, with original labels in foreign languages but no Vietnamese sub-labels, no invoices and documents proving origin. The brands and symbols were attached and printed directly on the products, and could not be peeled or removed. The total value of the shipment was more than 2.85 billion VND.

At the time of inspection, representatives of companies owning famous trademarks protected in Vietnam were present to witness. After directly inspecting and taking pictures of the goods, representatives of the owners determined that all of the above goods were counterfeit trademarks.
According to functional agencies, the owner of the goods used many sophisticated tricks to conceal violations and cope with functional forces. The subject confessed to buying floating goods of unknown origin online, then using social media accounts and e-commerce platforms to advertise and approach customers. Order closing and delivery were carried out through shippers, not directly transacting with buyers.
The owner confessed to doing business for nearly 3 years, from June 2023 to April 30, 2026, using sophisticated online sales methods on digital platforms and illegally profiting more than 3.5 billion VND.
The inspection team sealed and temporarily seized all the goods for further investigation and handling according to legal regulations.
Last week, Market Management Team No. 3 also coordinated with Team 6 - Economic Police Department to inspect a business household in Cho Lon ward.

Through inspection, functional forces discovered that this establishment traded in a large number of goods showing signs of counterfeiting famous trademarks protected in Vietnam, including clothes, shoes, handbags and watches. The business household owner could not present invoices and documents proving the legal origin of the goods.
The inspection team temporarily seized 1,913 products with a total value of more than 1.079 billion VND. The case file has been transferred to the investigating agency for further verification and handling according to legal regulations.
The household owner confessed to importing fake branded goods through social networks to sell directly at the store and doing online business through Facebook, Zalo, TikTok to illegally profit. The results of extracting electronic data, bank account statements and accounting documents show that from the beginning of 2024 to now, the subjects have profited more than 4.5 billion VND.
The store owner also admitted that he knew clearly that the goods were counterfeit trademarks, infringing intellectual property rights, affecting consumer health and being strictly prohibited by law, but still intentionally implemented them due to high profits. To cope with functional agencies, the store is often closed, and delivery is carried out through shippers and does not transact directly with customers.
