According to the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district, recently, the locality has actively supported people to cooperate with businesses to further expand the area of medicinal plant cultivation.
Because for a long time, Tu Mo Rong land has been considered the land of medicine or the capital of medicinal herbs. To develop the growing area, Kon Tum province has approved the Provincial Development Plan for Ngoc Linh ginseng in the period 2012 - 2020, with a vision to 2025, with a total ginseng planning area of 31,742 hectares.
To date, the whole province has developed about 2,922 hectares of Ngoc Linh ginseng. Of which, Tu Mo Rong district accounts for the majority with 2,883 hectares.
Precious ginseng is grown under the canopy of primeval forests, with a year-round humid and cold climate. Growing ginseng both exploits the economy and preserves valuable forest resources in the northern Central Highlands.

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district, in recent years, Ngoc Linh ginseng has contributed to poverty alleviation for nearly 2,000 households in the area. Many households have escaped poverty and become rich thanks to ginseng cultivation, many families have bought cars, and their lives have improved.
To turn Ngoc Linh ginseng into a national treasure, the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee have solutions to protect and enhance the ginseng brand.
Authorities strengthen protection and fight against profiteering from Ngoc Linh ginseng brand and buying and selling fake ginseng.
People and businesses both develop ginseng and combine it with developing the tourism economy. Bringing diverse products from processed ginseng to the market, closer to consumers.
