VietinBank won double awards for Annual Report at VLCA 2024

On November 16, 2024, in Da Lat City, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank - stock code: CTG) was honored with two awards "Top 10 enterprises with the best Annual Reports in the Finance sector" and "Outstanding progress for Annual Reports" at the 2024 Listed Enterprise Awards (VLCA) organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE).

The event was held in conjunction with the 2024 Annual Listed Enterprises Conference with the participation of leaders of the State Securities Commission (SSC); leaders of the Stock Exchanges, the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) and representatives of nearly 300 listed enterprises (SEs), securities companies, fund management companies and other financial institutions in the market.

Over the years, VietinBank's annual reports have been increasingly improved in both form and quality; the report content is built and selected, presented scientifically and consistently; bringing a panoramic picture and messages of VietinBank to partners, customers, shareholders and the community. In 2024, VietinBank continues to be honored in the category of "Top 10 enterprises with the best Annual Reports in the Finance sector". Notably, this time, VietinBank was named for the first time in the category of "Outstanding progress for Annual Reports" - the award recognizing the efforts of enterprises in information transparency, improvement, and innovation of Annual Report content to meet international standards.

Based on international practices, VietinBank's 2023 Annual Report continues to be enhanced in content, increasing the amount of information related to business activities and ESG practices to ensure the transparency, completeness and comprehensiveness of the publication. Not only complying with domestic regulations on information disclosure and annual report development, VietinBank also prioritizes the application of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards of the Global Reporting Initiative on Sustainable Development and the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard, associated with the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations. These are all advanced standards that have been internationally recognized as best practices in sustainable development reporting.

VietinBank's 2023 Annual Report with the theme "Shaping the Digital Age" conveys a message about the Digital Transformation journey that the Bank is implementing vigorously and comprehensively. VietinBank identifies digital transformation as an inevitable development trend and is closely linked to the transformation process in thinking, culture, business model, working methods, operations, etc. Based on the established foundation and comprehensive Digital Transformation journey, VietinBank is confident that it will create a breakthrough to realize the aspiration of becoming one of the leading multi-functional and modern banks in Vietnam, reaching the regional and world level.
