On December 19, at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 (Vietnam Defense Expo 2024), Viettel High Tech Corporation was officially awarded a certificate from the Malaysian Army and Ministry of Defense, recognizing Viettel's military information products as meeting strict standards to supply to the Malaysian Army.
The event contributes to promoting Vietnam - Malaysia defense cooperation.
Previously, Viettel's military information products had undergone a period of testing in Malaysia, under harsh combat conditions. The tests were conducted by the Malaysian Army, a unit with extensive experience in evaluating and testing military products according to NATO standards from major brands around the world.
Viettel has mastered core technologies such as artificial intelligence, high-speed broadband adaptive transmission technologies applying AI... in the process of researching and manufacturing devices.
Thanks to the application of the latest technologies in the world today to design and manufacture 4th and 5th generation wireless communication equipment in the field of Military Information, Viettel's products not only passed all quality and feature tests, but also had some parameter indicators that were superior to similar products tested in Malaysia.
This certification strengthens the position of Viettel's military information products in the international market, especially Malaysia, where previously there was little information about Vietnam's research and production capacity of high-tech defense products.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, General Director of Viettel High Tech affirmed: "Viettel's communication products can operate in harsh conditions according to military standards, using the latest standard architecture of military information products in the world".
On behalf of Malaysia, Mr. Badrul Hisham bin Ahmad Badarudin, Director of MIM Defense Company, said: “Shortly after signing the cooperation agreement, we and Viettel conducted testing and evaluation of many communication devices. The evaluation results of the Malaysian Ministry of Defense showed that Viettel can fully meet the standards set by Malaysia. In the future, we will continue to work with Viettel to provide military equipment to the Malaysian market.”
In May 2024, at the Defense and Security Exhibition Asia - DSA & NATSEC Malaysia, Viettel High Tech signed a strategic cooperation agreement with MIM Defense and the two sides announced to jointly develop international business.
Military information products are the first step, laying the foundation for other product lines such as radar, optoelectronics and electronic warfare of Viettel to penetrate deeper into this market.
