The press contributes to transparency and sustainable development of the insurance market
On April 15, 2025, the Vietnam Insurance Association (IAV) has just held a Press Awards Ceremony for Insurance in 2024, and officially launched the Press Award for Insurance in 2025. The event marked a successful year of this prestigious award, with the quality of the press works more and more diverse and diverse on topics and forms of expression.
In 2024, a total of 1,390 press works on the insurance field was sent to attend, vividly reflecting all aspects of the insurance market from January to December. After the preliminary, preliminary and final rounds, the jury under the chairmanship of journalist Nguyen Duc Loi - Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association - selected the 23 best works to award.
The work "Insurance industry and healing story 'wound' belief" by Huong Giang - Bank Times - has won a special prize. Three A Awards were given: "Billions of insurance from the insurance to partially compensate for relatives" of Bong Mai - Tuoi Tre Newspaper; The series "Where is agricultural insurance when farmers are heavy?" of the authors from Dan Viet electronic newspaper; and "Insurance: When the insurance enterprise plays the victim" by Xuan Thach - Journal of Financial Investment.
Prize B was awarded to four works, including reports of Vietnam Television Station, Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, Vietnamnet and the State Tax Magazine. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 5 C prizes and 10 consolation prizes to acknowledge the efforts, creativity and enthusiasm of journalists in reflecting objectively and comprehensively the outstanding issues of the insurance industry.
The press contributes to improving insurance confidence
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Insurance Association - said: "Since the Press Prize in insurance was born in 2018, the Vietnam Insurance Association has made continuous efforts to create a useful and healthy playground for journalists. So far, the award has gone through 6 seasons and received valuable companions from the Vietnam Journalists Association right from the first days."
Mr. Tuan also emphasized: "In 2024, the insurance industry had a strong transformation ... Based on strong belief that, no matter what circumstances, the fact that individuals, families or businesses were protected by insurance are the most sustainable choice in a fluctuated and constantly changing world."
According to journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of Judges, the works attending this year have clearly reflected the transfer of the insurance market, showing the sense of responsibility of businesses before the challenges from natural disasters. "The No. 3 storm Yagi landed in early September 2024 caused great damage, and many press works have promptly reflected and analyzed all aspects of insurance during this storm," Loi commented.
In particular, the issue of insurance profiteering continues to be the topic of interest to the press, with many works analyzing the cause, proposing solutions to prevent effectively. In addition, the works also reflect the trend of developing diversified insurance products such as maritime insurance, life insurance, guarantee insurance, green insurance ..., showing the adaptation of the market with increasing and diverse demand of society.
"In the process of marking, we appreciate the press works that show the sharp and multi -dimensional perspective ... showing balance and fairness in reporting, and proposing practical solutions to bring the market to continue sustainable development, bringing benefits to people, businesses and the country," Mr. Loi emphasized.
Sharing at the awards ceremony, Mr. Bui Gia Anh - General Secretary of the Vietnam Insurance Association - affirmed: "The success of the past 6 seasons is through press works, journalists and press agencies have helped build a solid bridge, so that the state management agency, businesses and consumers can exchange, dialogue and together build a transparent and healthy insurance market."
Following those successes, the Association officially launched the Press Award for Insurance in 2025. "We believe that, with the enthusiastic participation of the press agencies and journalists, the Press Award of Insurance in 2025 will continue to achieve great success ... Contributing high -oriented views high, persuasive, positive impact on social life," Mr. Bui Gia Anh shared. "
The Association expects that the works in 2025 will continue to evoke key issues, propose proper solutions, contribute to the development of effective policies, promote the development of the insurance industry in particular and the Vietnamese economy in general.
