On August 28, at Binh Minh Industrial Park, Vinh Long province, furukawa Automotive systems Vietnam Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for phase 3 of the factory project. The event marked an important step in the cooperative relationship between Vinh Long province and Japanese investors.
According to information from the project, phase 3 has a total investment of 97.1 million USD, building a factory and auxiliary works on an area of 26,400 m2, expected to be completed in November 2026 and put into operation from the beginning of 2027.
When completed, the total production capacity will reach 11,113 tons of products/year, with export revenue of over 200 million USD, creating 2,000 - 2,500 new jobs, making a practical contribution to local socio-economic development.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee - highly appreciated the strategic role of furukawa Automotive Systems in the socio-economic development of the province.
From 2020 to present, the previous two phases of the project have attracted a total investment of over 86 million USD, a construction area of nearly 7 hectares, produced more than 7,400 tons of automobile electric wires, exported nearly 160 million USD and created jobs for more than 5,000 workers.
The Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to continue to create favorable conditions, support administrative procedures, land, construction, and labor, while ensuring security, order, labor safety and taking care of workers' lives.

The groundbreaking ceremony of phase 3 of the furukawa Automotive systems project is a testament to the favorable, attractive and safe investment environment of Vinh Long province, while opening up opportunities for the development of supporting industries, participating more deeply in the global value chain in the field of automobile components manufacturing.
