Many emulation movements bring practical results
On August 25, at the Quang Ngai Provincial Exhibition Convention Center, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province held the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. The Congress was attended by 200 delegates representing collectives and individuals from agencies, units, fronts, unions, and people's armed forces in the province.
Over the past 5 years, Quang Ngai has promoted patriotic emulation movements, implemented them extensively, enthusiastically, and innovated in terms of content, forms, and organization methods. Movements "Quang Ngai joins hands to build new rural areas", "Quang Ngai for the poor - No one is left behind", "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste"...
Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at VND92,042 billion, up an average of 7.13%/year. The proportion of industry - construction and services accounts for 71.8% in GRDP. In 2025, GRDP per capita is estimated to reach 4,085 USD; average income per capita is estimated to reach 54.87 million VND/person/year, an average increase of 9.4%/year. Total state budget revenue in the area in 5 years is estimated at 170,204 billion VND.
To date, the whole province has 562 3-star OCOP products or more, the province has completed 100% of housing support for poor and near-poor households in the province; the rate of ethnic minority households with residential land and production land has reached 98.86%; the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with many good and creative methods has completed 9,071 houses/9,071 houses to date, reaching a rate of 100%. The province's poverty rate has decreased by an average of 2.17%/year.
Continuing to innovate and strongly spread the patriotic emulation movement
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. U Huan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province - emphasized that the patriotic emulation movement in the past 5 years has made an important contribution to the socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the Party and the political system in the province. Notably, the province has completed the arrangement of administrative units at all levels early; effectively organized the operation of the 2-level local government model. The economy and society continue to have quite good development.
Mr. U Huan suggested that all levels, sectors and localities further promote patriotic emulation movements; continue to innovate the content and form of emulation movements to suit the characteristics of each industry, field and locality; emulation work must be closely combined with reward work.
In addition, the reward work must be correct, timely, public, transparent, and truly educational and exemplary to create motivation for effective implementation of emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
On this occasion, authorized by the President, the leaders of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee awarded the Labor Medal to Mr. Vo Van Quynh, former Chairman of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; The Emulation Flag of the Prime Minister to 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in 2024. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province also awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements in the period of 2020 - 2025.
