On August 25, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Council visited and presented gifts of gratitude to Vinh Xuan commune.
On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province to 6 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and 2 heavy wounded soldiers, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Each gift includes gifts and cash worth 1 million VND from the province's " use of gratitude" Fund.
Along with that, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu and representatives of Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation also presented each Mother and war invalid 20 million VND in cash.
The total budget of Thien Tam Fund - Vingroup Corporation to support Vinh Long province in this period is 11 billion 340 million VND to give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and seriously wounded soldiers (physical injury rate of 81% or more) across the province.
This gratitude activity not only demonstrates the morality of "Remembering the source of water when drinking" but also spreads the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and deep affection of the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Long province and the accompanying unit for those who have contributed to the revolution.
At the places visited, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu and the sponsor's representatives kindly visited their health and lives, expressing their deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions in the cause of national liberation and national reunification.
She affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Long always respect the contributions of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, and policy families; at the same time, she hopes that families will promote their traditions and educate the younger generation to build a rich and civilized homeland.
