However, when I arrived at the store, I still had to queue for quite a long time, and the quantity sold was limited, so I could not always buy according to demand. However, I still accept it because gold rings are now easier to access and the procedures are also simpler than gold bars" - Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan (living in Nhieu Loc ward) shared.
According to the regulations of SJC Company, customers who want to buy gold bars must register online and are allowed to buy a maximum of 1 tael/time/month. For gold rings, the number of gold products sold by SJC is also not large. Each customer is allowed to buy a maximum of 1 tael of SJC gold/time.
At Mi Hong Co., Ltd., gold trading activities are also bustling. People are issued serial numbers and wait for their turn to trade from 8:30 am. Due to the large number of customers, security guards continuously guide and request people to buy gold to park their cars in nearby parking lots because the shop is overloaded with parking spaces.
Some people said they had to take advantage of coming early to get order numbers, avoiding prolonged waiting. Mr. Minh Hung (living in An Phu Dong ward) shared that although he had waited for more than an hour, he was still patient because he was worried that gold prices would continue to fluctuate. "I mainly buy gold rings to stockpile, the quantity is not large, but I have to go for several days to buy them," Mr. Hung said.
By 9:30 am on January 5, in Ho Chi Minh City, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by businesses at 154.2 million VND/tael for buying and 156.2 million VND/tael for selling; in Mi Hong it was 155.0 - 156.2 million VND/tael.
The price of gold rings at SJC is at 149.1 - 152.1 million VND/tael (buying - selling); while at Mi Hong it is 155.0 - 156.2 million VND/tael.
